Alexander was born in Cape Town and grew up in the Mitchells Plain neighborhood of the Lentegeur neighborhood.

Cole Alexander Club career

Cole began his junior football career with his hometown club Leeds Lentegeur, then moved on to play for Seven Stars, Santos, Hellenic, and Ajax Cape Town Juniors before settling in Cape Town.

He began his senior career with Ajax Cape Town in 2008, and he has also played on loan for Vasco da Gama and Chippa United in the past.

He appeared in 43 league games for Ajax, but failed to score a goal. Cole signed a two-year contract with Polokwane City on the 23rd of June, 2014.
