Only a week after unveiling their home and away kits, Amakhosi have dropped the goalkeeper’s jerseys that match with the two uniforms.
The three new goalkeeper kits for the next season were unveiled by the Amakhosi on social media on Monday. The club’s goalies will don the purple, red, or green stripes during the campaign.
The four first team goalkeepers led the way in displaying the uniforms, which come in three distinct colors: purple, red, and green.
They are Itumeleng Khune in red, Bontle Molefe in green, Bruce Bvuma in purple, Brandon Petersen in green, and Bontle Molefe in purple.
Fans of the club will have to decide which of the three variations they find to be the most visually pleasing, but there will also be a tussle for the starting spot on the field between Itumeleng Khune, Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma, and Bontle Molefe.
Despite making just one appearance in all competitions last season, Khune was recently named as the club captain for the 2022–2023 campaign. In goal, Petersen and Daniel Akpeyi—who has since left the club—were frequently favoured.
Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and Chiefs academy product Bruce Bvuma will also be hoping to finally make the jersey his own, while young Molefe, another development star, will make up the numbers from behind.
